Hello ...
Congratulation ! You could contribute to ABINIT by providing your makefile_macros ...
(If you would have a trouble, you could regard this as a chance for contribution ...)
First of all, please let me refrain,
You could read "problem report" format :
http://www.abinit.org/ABINIT/bug_report.html
You might not want to omit the details after you peruse it. ...
(It is difficult to guess what you did and what you got on which kind of platform...
We do not know which commands are installed in which paths on your platform.)
Then you might find an answer by yourself even before questioning ...
Specifically,
1) Have you succeeded in compiling abinis ? (It does not need LAM-MPI, obviously)
i.e. You have already succeeded in "make allseq", haven't you ?
2) Have you already tried modifying "~ABINIT/Machine_dept_files/Intel_P6/makefile_macros.PGI_MPICH" for your LAM-MPI ?
(Besides modifying the compiler name (FC=/usr/local/mpi/bin/mpif90), you might need to specify "LIBS_PAR" for LAM-MPI libraries. You could ask about it to your system administrator who installed LAM-MPI to the beowulf machine. You could also refer to other makefile_macros files (for MPI) in other directories as well as "Intel_P6".)
Then, you could contribute to ABINITioners with your makefile_macros...
Thanks (XieXie) in advance !
(If you might still have problems, you might be back here with a specific "bug_report"...)
Best wishes,
Masayoshi Mikami

Thank you in advance for your future help!
