GW bottlenecks

Dear Abinit GW users and programmers,

Is there a consensus as to where the bottlenecks are with the GW part of the code? Along with a computer science colleague of mine, I'm starting to look at how to go about speeding up the GW part.

What are your thoughts as to how to begin?
