Hi,
After completing a relatively simple calculation my log file (i.e. the
abinis STDOUT) contained many warnings like:
timana : WARNING -
Timing section # 1, name : abinit
CPU= 2.692078E+03, Wall= -7.730941E+12, ncount= 1
timana : WARNING -
Timing section # 2, name : fourwf(pot)
CPU= 1.069992E+03, Wall= -7.730941E+12, ncount=110470
There were about 15 "Timing section" warnings in total. From what I can
tell though the calculations worked just fine. The executable I used
though was statically compiled on an Intel P4 desktop, but I ran it on an
Intel Xeon machine. Is it possible that the warning are merely
due to the hardware differences, or should I be more concerned?
I performed a smaller scale calculation on the P4, using smaller kpoint
grids than on the xeon chip, and there were no warnings, and the
eigenvalues, total energies, etc. were very close.
Thanks,
Fred
