- Subject: compilation error with IFC v.7.1
- Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2003 14:02:27 +0900
Dear Abinitioners,
I would like to ask a question about Intel Fortran Compiler v.7.1
on a Pentium IV machine powered by Linux. (I get a chance to use it.)
I encountered a compilation problem with the ABINIT v.4.1.3.
From the log :
-----
(snip here ... up to this stage, the compilation was OK)
rm -f psp5in_cpp.f
/lib/cpp -C -DP6 -P -traditional -D__IFC psp5in.f > psp5in_cpp.f
/opt/intel/compiler70/ia32/bin/ifc -FR -O0 -w -c psp5in_cpp.f
external subroutine PSP5IN
*Compiler Internal Error* : Please report to Intel(R) Corporation
compilation aborted for psp5in_cpp.f (code 1)
-----
The environmental information on the target machine is as follows:
% ifc -V
Intel(R) Fortran Compiler for 32-bit applications, Version 7.1 Build 20030701Z
Copyright (C) 1985-2003 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.
FOR NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY
GNU ld version 2.11.90.0.29 (with BFD 2.11.90.0.29)
Supported emulations:
elf_i386
i386linux
% uname -a
Linux scc 2.4.19 #3 Thu Sep 26 10:58;09 JST 2002 i686 unknown
I tried "grep -i ifc *" in ~ABINIT/Infos/* and look into the forum
archive ( http://www.abinit.org/wws ) with the keywords"ifc" "7.1",
but I have not yet found relevant information for this...
If anyone have no compilation problem with IFC v.7.1,
could you tell me results of "ifc -V" "uname -a" ?
I would appreciate very much any suggestions/comments.
(I would report to the system administrator and would be back with results.)
Regards,
Masayoshi
P.S. I tried following the spirit of the bug report format
("~ABINIT/Infors/problem_report") ...
