Dear ABINIT user.

It is 11/19 (in Tokyo, Japan) today.
BUT, let you know a big Christmas present.

VENUS is a visulization tool of crystal structure and charge density.
This can read output files of Wien2k and some software files
, only by drag and drop.

In addition, graphic data can be saved as
"jpg", "tif", "bmp", "jpeg2000 !" and so on.

I have requested visalization of ABINIT _den file to Dr. Izumi.
He kindly accepted my request and made VENUS adapted for ABINIT output.
Finally, new version of "VENUS" was open at his web site.
http://homepage.mac.com/fujioizumi/visualization/VENUS.html

He is a specialist of crystal structure analysis by Rietveld method.

All we have to do is converting _DEN (_wfk and _POT) file to *.xsf file
by cut3d and "drag and drop".

For visualizing real part of wavefunction,
we should replace the data in the xsf file
by "real part" obtained using menu number 2.
# 2 => 3D formatted real data
# (output the bare 3D data - one column)

After this procedure,
we can visualize wavefunction with positive/negative values.

###Caution.#####################
Now, this VENUS is only for Windows.
Linux version will be applicable in ......

Best regards.

Masatake Takahashi
