Dear Martin
I think that the eigendisplacement given by anaddb are the maximal amplitude 
of vibration (displacement) of the atoms in the considered mode, so they have 
a displacement unit.
Consider if anyone would displace the atoms in the unit cell following a 
fraction of the eigendisplacement of a certain mode, it will be necessary to 
have the unit of these eigendisplacements.
