Dear all,
Xavier and I have recently noticed a mistake in the answer that was made to the question about the units of oscillator strengths.
The oscilator strengths have the following units: (length^3)*(time^-2). Therefore:
1 a.u. = 253.2638413 m^3/s^2 (=$\frac{\hbar^2}{m_e^2 a_0}$)
1 a.u. of length = 0.5291772108e-10 m
1 a.u. of time = 2.418884326505e-17 s
Note also that when running ANADDB a note appears about these same units which is wrong (soon to be corrected):
The following line in the routine Src_7ddb/diel9.f:
write(iout, '(a)' )' Oscillator strengths (in a.u. ; 1 a.u.=0.342036 m3/s2)'
should be replaced by:
write(iout, '(a)' )' Oscillator strengths (in a.u. ; 1 a.u.=0.342036 m3/s2)'
Luckily, the answer given by ANADDB is in a.u.
Gian-Marco.
