Dear Plänitz,
In the past few days I was struggling with the same problem and
fortunately it works.
My experience is that (based on version 4.3.3, Mandrake 10.0, atlas 3.6):
1. g95 (www.g95.org) should be able to compile the program if I modify
a loop using real variable. However, the program often dumps cores
although there is no problem to run test1~test4. I think it might be
caused by unknpwn bugs in g95.
2. Intel fortran compiler (32-bit) works. For 8.0, I need to add
option "-Wl,-m elf_i386" to LDFLAGS, but sometimes the program dumps
core. For 8.1, I just use the same makefile as normal P4 and finally
it runs perfectly, I haven't found any problem yet. BTW, it seems
that IFC doesn't need etime.o in makefile_macros.
I guess IFC for emt64 should be better, as it produces 64-bit code directly.
Enjoy in abinit!
Cheers,
Zhenhua
