You're absolutely right. I was benefiting from the default behavior when 
headform==0. What else seems to be the problem? I'm using mrggkk everyday 
now, versions 4.4.3 and 4.5.2, and my _GKK look ok...

I'll commit the bugfix as soon as possible. If you try using the elphon 
part of anaddb in 4.5.2 there is also a piece to be un-commented. I'll 
either describe it or release it with 4.5.3.
