why don't we switch to the latest IFC v.7.1 (or the latest IFC v.8.1) ?
I heard that IFC v.8.0 might be buggy ... and that v.8.1 should be much better.
(although I have not yet tried v.8.1 (commercial package)...)
I install abinitio from so named ports (ports is suite of contributed aplication on FreeBSD) and respectivelly my freedom "how to compiling" is limited by requirements of abinitio-port.
Sure I may compile abinitio manually and I will try to do this necessarily.
What makes the things more difficult is that you use the FreeBSD...
Other software written in F90/F95 can be compiled and executed
on the FreeBSD box ?
Yes (VMD for example)
I guess less people on this ML have experience than Linux ...
Do you have Linux box (with IFC v.7.1 and/or v.8.1) there ?
Yes, but simply FreeBSD is more preferable OS for me. On other hand it is not important for me abinitio runs on which OS.
We wish you could read our problem_report format...

Excuse me please. I thought that is not bug but that is my problem simply. Thus I wrote my letter in free form
The result of "ifort -V" may be important ...
abinitio-4.3.3
processor - celeron
uname FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE
/usr/local/intel_fc_80/bin/ifort -V (Why difference between directory and version names take place? I dont know)
Intel(R) Fortran Compiler for 32-bit applications
Version 8.1 Build 20041118
Z Package ID: l_fc_pc_8.1.023
This package I receive in http://premier.intel.com/
Also I obtain (from private email) suggestion to disable optimization flags in compilator command string. Suddenly it has same results with the same error message.
Ordinarily I will try to build abinitio with more old version Fortran compiler and then - on Linux box
Thanks all for your attention.
