Dear Henry Chen,

Please, peruse the Netiquette first,
http://www.abinit.org/community/?text=netiquette
before posting your question (your e-mail lacks information ...
if your system would be IBM-SP, the following FAQ could help.)

And also check the FAQ that may be related to your problem:
http://www.abinit.org/about/?text=../Infos/FAQ#IBMSP
(even if your system is not IBM-SP, the thread (the original
post and the two follow-ups) may be helpful !)

In any case, the ABINIT, based on Fortran90 style, adopts
dynamic memory allocation, so there is no static parameter
to allocate such "default memory" (as often used in F77 style).

If your system is not IBM-SP ... but other system such as
Linux on Intel PC, you might want to purchase large memories
at a PC-shop and add them to your system ...

You can try your job by reducing some parameters such as
ecut/k-point, but the accuracy of your job will not be assured.
(It will not be preferred ...)

Good luck,
Masayoshi
