Hello Developers,

Any chance of compiling binaries version 4.5.3 for win/dos users ? So that we
could test the new features. The last version for windows is abit old now.
Thanks you.

As I said before there's a problem with PGI 5.x that prevents scratch file storage (for instance WFK files) from exceeding 2Gb.

The new PGI 6.0.4 which allegedly supports large files is buggy and compilates simply die out when I try to run tests. I have referred the matter to Portland and they say they're working on it but it could take a while until they release a new update to their workstation.

The other alternative I'm exploring is compiling with mingw/g95. Steve Vaught says he's working hard to provide large file support in g95 and soon he'll provide a new build of g95 (windows native and cygwin) with lfs libraries included. This problem is only endemic to Windows because g95 uses lower level api calls which prevent execs from reading beyond 2Gs. The linux version is pretty much free from this I think.

If you want an abinit 4.5.2 build I can give you one but it's limited as I said to 2Gb scratch storage.

regards,
