In such case one shall think to go beyond PPM approximation -to be implemnted
soon in ABINIT- or may be to choose another PPM, so why dont you try with PPM of
Hybertsen and Louie (ppmodel 2). The later PPM does not depond on (ppmfreq
parameter), it uses only the dielectric matrix calculated on zero frequency and
proceed toward the dynamical dependence by employing 'f sum rules'.
