hi, i also posted a message one week ago that was entitled 'problem with memory
options'. Since, i have made some tests.
for phonons calculation, the run where the phonons frequencies are given for one
kpoint, i always obtained an error message using mkmem 0 or 1 but it is possible
to use the two other memory options that are mkqmem and mk1mem. this is the
solution to avoid your memory problem. nevertheless, i only encountered this
problem doing some parallel jobs, in a serial calculation, i can use the three
options.
if anyone can give some more explanation to it, i would also appreciate.
A good week for everyone,
Flavien Aubert

Quoting ha sa <ha_sadi@yahoo.com>:

Dear abinit users,

I'm trying to do response function calculations for iridium (phonons), at first I faced a problem in the memory and the solution was in using "mkmem=0" , using this value of mkmem the run continued until the 4th dataset then stopped and gave me the error in the attached part of the log file, I have 52 datasets.

I'm working on celeron cpu 2.4 GHz, 768 MB of RAM.
attached also is my input file.
How can I solve this problem.

Thank you,
Hanan.
