You'd have to be a bit more specific, and in particular run it through gdb, to tell us where it segfaulted. As usual, send input, output, log, machine type, abinit version... Have you not heard Masayoshi screaming from Japan? "Read the Nettiquette!" It may just be that there isn't enough room in memory, some of the arrays are very big: how big is your gkk file?

There is also a flag in the latest versions to save many arrays to disk at line 252 of 07ddb/elphon.F90 - you'd have to recompile after setting the *write flags to 1. Check the debugger and other things first before playing with the flags.
