I'm using a home build of gfortran. Something I've get from the svn
repository back in october or november. Sometimes latter I wasn't able
to use a newer version. It is possible that any version of gfortran
have a flaw but nowadays you can almost safely download any new
version. It will work. Yet it is almost sure that older gfortran such
as the default one of a fedora can't work for abinit.

With g95 we have had a number of bugs on very recent version. But
actual version no more than two weeks old) should work perfectly fine.

Note that 5.1.3 is not a stable version...

good luck

I tried again using gfortran explicitly in my <hostname>.ac but the
problem persists.

Which version of gfortran are you using?

Meanwhile, I'll install g95 and give it a try.

Thanks,

Roger
