This is a format problem in cut3d: as you can see there are no white spaces and the format is not long enough for the floating point numbers.
Pierre-Matthieu is correct, but from the 4.6.5 source the format strings look ok, and they have spaces in it. Are you sure you're not using an older version of cut3d? If not, send me (just me) the full header+ a few lines of density, and eventually the _DEN file if it isn't too big (less than 2MB).
