Many thanks, once again, to the ABINIT team for 5.2.4, which builds  
out of the box using g95 [(GCC 4.0.3 (g95 0.90!) Nov 11 2006)] on OS  
X 10.4.8.  (99.9% of the tests pass fine; only messages like

v4/,,test_Darwin_20061129/fldiff.report:Summary Case_67 : different  
lines= 13 , max discrepancies absolute= 0.0999999999999943 ,  
relative= 0.000406669377795829

occur.

And, thanks for building the binaries using xlf.  Alas, since I'm  
lacking (at least) /Volumes/export/local/opt/ibmcmp/lib/ 
libxlf90.A.dylib,
since I don't have xlf90 installed, I'd be grateful if the binaries  
could be built statically.
