You might try a "nicer" pseudopotential (TM typically). This would also enable you to use GGA, which is important for many d band metals, and to (perhaps) lower the cutoff.

Are you using the semicore psp? In that case your ecut may not even be converged at 50.

I'm surprised the iscf 7 doesn't work for lin resp. Mark is this correct? Maybe, but maybe you have added options, like iprcel, which are incompatible (once again, netiquette! Send the input, specify architecture, version, etc...)

If worst comes to worst, you should be able to make it converge (slowly) with iscf 3, by playing with the diemix/diemac. Especially for bulk systems like this, I have never encountered a permanently pathological system.
