Very quick suggestion, without looking in detail to your file :
there are examples of use of getcell and getxred in automatic tests.
See : tests/v1/Input , number 60, 61, 64, 74, 80 ;
tests/v2/Input , number 44
and also tests/tutorial/Input , elast_1 .
