- Subject: cut3d memory problem
- Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 18:39:37 +0100
Dear Abinit users
I am trying to use cut3d to compute Hirshfeld charges of relatively large
systems, 60-90 atoms. It seems to exist some problem with a glibc call for
releasing memory:
I am currently using the ABINIT version 4.6.5 - the same problem appears in
different machines.
It accumulates the charge density for all the atoms in the system and then it
gives an error (see the following):
********************************************************************************
...
hirsh : accumulating density for atom 63
hirsh : accumulating density for atom 64
*** glibc detected *** ./cut3d: free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x0821bc00
***
********************************************************************************
Does anyone know how to avoid this problem?
Thanks in advance.
