I would like to point out that Windows98 is essentially obsolete and is
prone to instability in direct proportion to the amount of programs you
have installed in your computer.

If you have poor hardware resources I would advise you to install
Windows 2000 which is a true continuation of the work Microsoft had
begun with NT and is rock solid in terms of stability. Otherwise from
250MB RAM upwards you have more recent upgrades like XP,2003 and Vista.
