The problem :
Fortran runtime error : attempting to allocate already allocated array
actually arose from the use of the GNU Fortran compiler g77.

After installatallation of the GNU g95 compiler (i686-pc-linux-gnu-g95)
available at :
http://ftp.g95.org/g95-x86-linux.tgz

the problem has disappeared and the tests are run successfully.

Thanks to Yan Pouillon, Pierre-Matthieu Anglade and Xavier Gonze for their
prompt replies to my query for help : (i) for suggesting the use of
abinit-5.3.3 and (ii)indicating a possible compiler origin of the problem.
