Hi,
For those of you who build ABINIT from the source, some basic information about MPI support within the build system is now available in the developers' corner of the website:
http://www.abinit.org/developers/?text=mpi-options
I will complete this doc progressively, when I have more time. This should anyway be already helpful, in that it explains what happens and what you can do with the "--enable-mpi" option of the "configure" script.
Please note that in ABINIT 5.3.3 "manual" was called "force", and the latter may still be used in 5.3.4 (a warning will be issued, though). Unfortunately, there were still some nasty bugs in the implementation. Thus I recommend that you use the 5.3.4 version for parallel builds as soon as it is out.
I will be glad to hear your comments, questions and requests about this interface. This will help me to set the roadmap of the build system development for the next versions of ABINIT.
Best regards,
Yann.
