Hi,

The best may be to compile yourself a parallel version of Abinit. This
is because MPI libraries like MPICH can use various way to
communicate. In Your case it appears that it must use the ch_shmem
instead of the ch_p4 which is used in the Abinit binaries. Since the
communication devices is chosen at compile time you must either
recompile Abinit or reinstall (or change the options) of your
installed MPICH.
