To the ABINIT FORUM:
I am trying to run the ABINIT-5.3.4 executable files on my G4 using
MacOS 10.3.9 and am having trouble executing the basic tutorials.
I tried to run ABINIS in the 'opt' folder. Whether or not I have
input files in this directory, I get the same error message on the UNIX
terminal window after I double-click on ABINIS:
dyld: /Users/davidmckeown/Desktop/abinitbin-5.3.4/opt/abinis can't open
library: /Volumes/export/local/opt/ibmcmp/lib/libxlf90.A.dylib (No such file
or directory, errno = 2)
Trace/BPT trap
ABINIS is looking to access library files that it cannot find. These
files are not in the abinitbin-5.3.4 folder, nor are they anywhere in my
system. I also looked through your installation notes for v.5.3 and came
across this:
"For the other platforms, the executable might not contain all the library
routines (this depends whether they have been linked dynamically or not), so
they might not be as portable."
Is this true for Abinit 5.3.4 for the Mac?
If so, how do I obtain these library files?
Any suggestions are appreciated...
