Yes you can use abinit under solaris. Just use the standard building way. You may need to note that by default Sun's fortran compiler won't search modules in the library path (-L/.../path/..../) it requires the you to specify modules path with "-M" . Not also that sun's compiler is efficient but sometimes its optimisation may prevent abinit from working. So you may have to experiment manually and test carefully.
