I use the default settings, which I think, for 5.3.4 is parallelism over 
k-points. The input file used was the one supplied with the ABINIT 5.3.4 
distribution (Silicon).

In case it is a bug, I can devote time in fixing it up following the 
suggestions given by you.

Could not compile the new versions 5.4.0 and 5.4.2 in IBM AIX 5.2 Power PC 
Regetta.
