Hi,

From the crowd of answers you get, we can guess that there is not already a way to read DEN files in parallel the way you like. Maybe you could try to inspire of the way localrdwf and accesswff works (eventually improved them since it looks like you have spotted a bug) to develop localrdden and accessden.

Best,

PMA

So I tried to investigate more. I used localrdwf=1, which did not
work. I also used accesswff=1 and it complained that I need to use
ABINIT in parallel. But I am already using abinip!  I have attached my
input file. The command I use to run is something like this:

mpirun --prefix /opt/intel --hostfile ../hfile -np ${NUMPROS}
${ABINIP} < ${CASENAME}.files > ${CASENAME}.log

I am using openmpi 1.2 .

Thanks again,
Alaska
