Hi,

Your problem comes from a bug in XLF 8.1. You have several options to solve
it:

 * use a more recent version of XLF;

 * cut-and-paste the command-line used to compile ABINIT, replacing
   "-O3" by "-O0";

 * use the information found on the following page:

There is not much we can do on the ABINIT side.
