Try ps -u <username> to verify how many are actually in your name. top only shows those that are using cpu, and you may be at a point in the run where nothing is being done in parallel - initialization or finalization.
Maybe your mpi is not fully configured. In particular I presume you have compiled the mpi libs and abinit with the same compiler... The syntax -np 4
might also be wrong - which type of mpi are you using.
Does the run give correct results?
