Hello idoldog,

the main log you are looking at is the one that comes from the 1st instance of abinip (mother process, whose number is 0). The others generate files called xxx_LOG_xxx.

I'm not sure abinip should run at all without an invocation of mpirun (or mpiexec, whichever). Can't say much more.

Matthieu

thank you.

I have tried the job and it is processed with no error. but at the end of log
file, i see these words:

- Proc. 0 individual time(sec): cpu= 119.3 wall= 119.3

I read the tutorial which said these words corresponds to time by the
processor
number 0. where are the others?

Also, I use 'abinis' to process the same job and find the time is longer only
10 sec.

i seem that my mpi tools does not do what it should do. To verify this, I use
abinip without mpiexec to process the job(use only 'abinip < test.files
&>1.log&' command) and find there is no difference comparing to the first
processing.

PS: I use OpenMPI as mpi tools.
