- Subject: [abinit-forum] dielectric function in IR band
- Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2008 16:29:06 -0400
Dear All,
Static dielectric constant and real part of dielectric constant over the
infrared (IR) band can be calculated following the "lesson on static
non-linear properties".
However, the output files doesn't print the imaginary part of the dielectric
function while it can calculate reflectance.
That sounds strange.
Can anyone help me and point out the relationship between the real and
imaginary part of the dielectric function (IR part)? Is Kramer-Kronig
transform valid here?
Also, how to get the reflectance without knowing the imaginary part? What
assumptions are made here?
Thanks,
Hua
