Hello Helen,

The LD_LIBRARY_PATH message is only a reminder - it says that the libraries have to be reachable and in particular MPI libs. Therefore if some of them are not included in the /etc/ld.so.conf, a way of telling the build system where the libs reside is to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Would you please give some more info about your system - opensuse comes with gcc-4.3.2 (?) but what kind of MPI implementation are you using? A copy of your abinit configure or the head of the config.log would be useful. Check with a "ldd abinp" to see if all the libraries are linked. Maybe you need to specify a transport with mpirun suitable for your hardware setup. Do you receive the error message with one of the parallel test cases?

Kind regards,

Alain

Hi everyone,

I am working on opensuse 11 with gfortran compiler, I didn't have any problem compiling abinip till now, but in version 5.6.3, I am receiving the messages from the ./configure that I have to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

I searched the archive in abinit website and executed the guides there, but still the "abinip" I make does not work. I mean in the log it says, INIT stopped !!!

I would be thankful to know what to do!

Regards,
Helen
