Dear Manuel,

As Fabien said, in v5.8.3, it's still possible to reinstate the old
implementation
by just changing the value of the switch_to_580 logical flag in
m_io_screening.F90
such that old SCR files can be used with more recent versions of abinit.

Note, however, that we are planning to introduce important changes in the
file formats
of the GW output files. Likely these changes will cause to backward
compatibility
problems, and we cannot assure that old GW files can be used with the
forthcoming releases of abinit.
