Hi,
If you are not using a 64-bit OS you won't be able to use that memory.
Hope this helps,

Hello,
when I try to run abinip I get the following error message:
Test failed to allocate 3730.668 Mbytes
I am working on an IBM p590 machine and compiled using xlf. The abinit executable should be able to use more than 2GB. When I try to run, more than 16GB of RAM are free, so this cannot be the reason either. mkmem is set to 0.
In the archive I was not able to find any more useful information about how to tackle the problem. Maybe you have some additional ideas.
Cheers,
Christian
