Hi Eric,
I found some memory problems in subroutines prep_*, contained in the
folder ./src/66_wfs/ of the ABINIT distribution.
First of all, in subroutine prep_fourwf, memory is allocated for the
local variable sendcounts, but never deallocated. You must add a
deallocate statement for this variable at the end of the subroutine.
But this doesn't explain all the memory leackage.
The big problem is in subroutine prep_kg_sym_do. The parent
subroutines (prep_getghc and prep_fourwf) pass a pointer
(index_wavef_send) as an argument to prep_kg_sym_do, and the child
allocate memory for variable index_wavef_send and return to his
parents. But this memory is never deallocated in the parent
subroutines (in fact I haven't found any deallocate statement for
variable index_wavef_send). You must add a deallocate statement for
variable index_wavef_send at the end of the parent subroutines,
prep_getghc and prep_fourwf.
This modifications seems to work fine. I run a MD simulation with
istwfk=2 and paral_kgb=1 and I couldn't apreciate any memory leackage
in my machine monitor. I think my modifications aren't the best ones,
maybe you found a better solution.

Manuel Cotelo
