Hi,

Have you already had a look at the "learn Abinit" section of Abinit website (third coloumn) ? In case you don't, I can tell you that you will find the tutorial and input variables sections especially useful if you really want to write an input file for Abinit.

Also, you could find interesting to know that the forum mailing list has been superseeded by the online forum: http://forum.abinit.org/ and that the netiquette (http://www.abinit.org/community/netiquette ) keeps beeing relevant there. Be sure to post your next questions there after you've learned the basics about abinit from the tutorials and documentation.
