Hi. I am a new user of ABINIT.
Let me ask a question.
I got an error message
when I calculated Born effective charge of a large system.
(28 atoms in unit cell, HGH potential
ngkpt 4x4x2 (kptopt 2), ecut 1000 eV,
20000 plane waves)
In log file,
#memana : ERROR -
# Test failed to allocate 1689.354 Mbytes
# It is not worth to continue
# Action : modify input variable to fit the available memory.
# or increase limit on available memory.
I use ABINIT v 3.4.3 on Windows2000 machine with 3GB memory,
so I think 3GB is enough for this calculation.
"memana" is not in "List of Input Variables".
Could someone tell me what should I do ?
thanks.
