dear Rick,
for example in the Si calculation, in the output file
of a screening calculation, you can read:
 total number of electrons per unit cell =  7.9999
 average of density, n =  0.0300
 r_s =  1.9964
 omega_plasma = 16.7087[eV]
Further, if you are using one the last versions of
abinit (I don't know starting from which version)
you can avoid to specify the ppmfreq in the input
file, since now by default the code set it at the classical
plasma frequency given by the formula you wrote.
