Please take your enough time to learn ABINIT (and Unix ?)...

http://www.abinit.org/ABINIT/Infos/FAQ.html#IFC
The executable "IFC" is obsolete (long ago)... Use "Anaddb".

Please switch to the latest version of ABINIT.
http://www.abinit.org/ABINIT/Infos_v4.3/anaddb_help.html

You might want to check the bibliography, as you was asked before:
http://www.abinit.org/ABINIT/Infos_v4.3/bibliography.html

In particular,
- Responses to atomic displacements and macroscopic electric
fields : detailed description of an implementation based on plane
waves and separable pseudopotentials :
X. Gonze, Phys. Rev. B55, 10337 (1997)
- Dynamical matrices, Born effective charges, dielectric
permittivity tensors and interatomic force constants :
X. Gonze and C. Lee, Phys. Rev. B55, 10355 (1997)

If you have no responses to your questions,
you might want to remember the following FAQ ...
http://www.abinit.org/ABINIT/Infos/FAQ.html#NoResponce

Kindly extend your imagination: it will take a few minuites
to ask a question simply, but it will take much more time to
write a reply; it will depend on the quality of question,
i.e. how "specific" and "concise."
You could also take a look:

BTW, this reply is intended to be a reminder to new subscribers ...
