Dear Andrey Rybak,

I've seen that you are using ifort 8.1, so you should not encounter more
problem than we have under Linux. The differences between FreeBSD and
Linux are not that big.

The problem may come from ifort trying to allocate too much memory for
optimization. Did you check that you have enough free memory, swap space
and temporary disk space before compilation?

Here is what I propose to you:

1. Add the following line to your makefile_macros:

        FFLAGS_Src_2nonlocal = -O0 -w -FR

2. If it still doesn't work, could you please try with ABINIT 4.4.3?

3. If you keep getting problems, could you please send me your whole
   makefile_macros?

Please tell me if you succeed. I'm interested to know about how ABINIT
does on FreeBSD.
