Looks like a bug in the compiler. We encounter regularly this type of
problem with ifort on the x86 architecture.

Usually, the best thing to do is to use another version of the compiler,
or another compiler. Reporting the bug may help too.

You might get valuable information by determining the version number of
your compiler and doing an internet search on ``xlf90 <version>'',
possibly adding other keywords, like ``bug'' or the error message number
(1500-004).
