For the impatient I have set up a download site on my server for the new Windows version (g95) of abinit.
The binary includes standard options plus the nanoquantaxc library.

You may download it at

http://cqb.fc.ul.pt/intheochem/nuno/data/abinit-4.5.3.zip

Feel free to test it and compare timings with other operating systems.

Hopefully this new version will be online at the abinit site sometime this month.
