I'm interesting in optic properties of metallic clusters. I'm really a newbie in this topic. Do you know if ABINIT is a useful tool in optic properties?.
This isn't my area of expertise, but there is an Abinit tutorial on optical properties (of crystals) you should be aware of. I don't know if there are any cluster specific issues to be aware of.

Other tutorials are also available.

These are probably the best place to start.
Good luck!
P.S. I sent this to the forum, in case somebody else has anything to add. Anybody?
