Sorry,
I don't really understand your question: do you want to enable or disable shared memory?
Anyway and for as much as I know, shared memory usage don't depends on abinit but on your mpi implementation:
Abinit is calling mpi to make data transfert. If your mpi lib uses shared memory, then shared memory will be used. If it don't abinit won't use it. That's all.
(PS: If I'm wrong, please someone correct me)

Greetings everyone
I am trying to compile an abinit source with Intel compiler (ifc). I would like to use abinit on a cluster of machines, ie. the MPI-parallel version of abinit.
The problem is that MPICH implementation installed on that cluster is not using shared memory. Therefore, I would like to compile abinit source so that it doesn't use shared memory. I have searched through the Machine_dept_files, but I couldn't find any example ofthat option. Neither could I find it in the makefile_macros_help.
Could someone help me with this problem, ie. tell me which line should I include in the makefile_macros file, so that shared memory is enabled.
Thank You in advance
I. Lukacevic
