It can at least in Windows. My options were "-O3 -msse -mfpmath=sse". But the code runs very slowly as I said. First few v1 tests run ok I didn't have time to run an exhaustive testing.
I'll look up those options like you said it may help.
I'll put up my binaries online soon maybe sometime this evening.
As I mentioned on the forum PGF 6.0.8 binaries are somewhat buggy when handling a few tests. There are more tests that pass than those that fail though.
