Don't you fear that the problems can results from using gcc 4.3 which
is quite far from stable ? The gfortran version bundled with gcc 4.2
(which is still not a production version) is as up to date as the one
with gcc 4.3. Have you tryed any recent 4.2 ?

François Xavier Coudert is the curator of Windows gfortran. He does
offer gfortran versions up to 21/10/2006 in his site. I like to keep
updated with all the latest.
