Dear Xavier,
Many thanks for your kind reply. If fact, I have also tried gfortran
and it fails in building the lapack library: sunf95 looked more
promising. With gfortran I got the following error message:
gfortran -ffixed-form -g -O2 -c cgbrfsx.f
cgbrfsx.f: In function 'cgbrfsx':
cgbrfsx.f:507: fatal error: gfc_todo: Not Implemented: Scalarization of non-elemental intrinsic: __transfer1
compilation terminated.
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `cgbrfsx.o'
Current working directory /export/home/aqteish/abinit-6.0.2/prereqs/linalg/lapack
*** Error code 1
Do I have to install a linux OS instead of Solaris 10?
Best wishes and regards,
Abdallah

The sunstudio compiler is not supported for ABINIT, you should use one
of :
- gfortran
- intel fortran
- g95
- pathscale
- xlf (for IBM)
on which ABINIT is tested daily...
Sorry for this,
Xavier
