You're probably not doing anything wrong, but you are on an exotic 
platform. Send in your full log and any error/output files from your 
submission, there could be a bug in the MPI implementation.

btw: ecut 10.0 for carbon is kind of useless, and toldfe 1.0e-8 will never 
give you forces converged to 1.0e-4: I presume this is a preliminary 
thing.
